Set up your payment gateway in minutes. Simply obtain your API credentials from your Nexi merchant portal and follow the steps below directly within your Odoo environment.

Navigate to Invoicing → Configuration → Payment Providers. Use the visual indicators to locate and select the Nexi Nets provider.

Log in to your Nexi merchant dashboard, which you received when you signed up for a merchant account. Go to the API credentials or Integration settings section. You will see your Secret Key displayed, or you can generate it there. Keep this key private; treat it like a password.
Yes. Nexi offers a sandbox environment with test credentials for simulating payment flows. Contact Nexi's merchant support to get test API keys. Set the State field in Odoo to Test and use the test credentials to check the integration before going live.
If a customer's payment is declined or the session times out, Nexi sends them back to the Odoo checkout page with an error message. The Odoo order stays in a pending or draft state and is not confirmed. The customer can try again with a different card or payment method.
Yes. The Refund popup in the Odoo backend lets you specify any amount up to the original transaction value. The partial refund is sent to Nexi and recorded as a child transaction linked to the original payment transaction.
No. The module's requirements include Invoicing, eCommerce, Discuss, and Website. It is designed for online payments (web checkout and portal invoices) and does not connect with the Odoo POS terminal module.
